SEAI Grants
Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland Grant Schemes
Learn about the SEAI grant values and how to apply.
Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has established a number of once-off grant schemes and other incentives to assist towards the purchase and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels for your home, business and schools, giving everyone the opportunity to become energy independent, green and save money.
In order to receive any SEAI grant, an application must be made prior to the commencement of installation. Clean Energy Solar PV Panels and Eco Smart Devices are suitable for domestic, schools and commercial applications, in new and existing premises and dwellings. Clean Energy Solar will design the installation based on your budget, electricity needs, size, shape and orientation of PV system panel space.
Turn your home into a renewable power station!
SEAI offers homeowners a grant of up to €2,100 to support the installation of Solar PV panels. This will reduce the electricity you currently purchase from your utilities supplier and save you money.
Support is available to all owners of dwellings built and occupied by the end of 2020. The grant is available for all new Solar PV installations.
RESIDENTIAL GRANT VALUES:
€800 per kWp for systems up to 2kWp
€250 for every additional kWp up to 4kWp
Example:
2kWp Solar Panels: €1,600
3kWp Solar Panels: €1,850
4kWp Solar Panels: €2,100
This scheme funds up to 6 kWp of roof-mounted solar PV for eligible schools, and includes connection to the grid, a monitoring system and display screen. Invited schools must register for the programme and receive confirmation of eligibility before seeking quotations for the works.
Clean Energy Solar are happy to tender and will provide quotations directly to the schools who in turn submit these to the Department of Education for review and provision of full funding for approved costs.
Clean Energy Solar are listed on the SEAI Non-Domestic Micro-Generator (NDMG) Company list.
The ACA is a tax incentive for companies paying corporation tax and aims to encourage investment in energy efficient equipment. The purpose of the ACA scheme is to encourage businesses to purchase plant and machinery that are highly energy efficient and thus make significant savings on energy costs and reduce carbon emissions.
The ACA offers an attractive incentive whereby it allows companies to write off 100% of the purchase value of qualifying energy efficient equipment against their profit in the year of purchase. Solar PV qualifies for the ACA scheme, this is an attractive investment as it offers significant savings on your electricity bill while the cost of purchase has been written off your tax bill.
The Non-Domestic Microgen Grant (NDMG) provides financial assistance to help businesses and other sectors to install solar PV panels to generate electricity on site.
This technology reduces commercial electricity costs and increases security of supply, while enhancing a positive sustainability image. Grant funding is available for systems up to a maximum 1000kWp.
